Monsieur Henri likes his crib

We're working on getting Henry used to going to sleep in his crib. During the day after one of his early afternoon feedings when he's drowsy but still awake I wrap him up, place him in the crib, pull the tail on the cow, and leave the room. Henry fidgets for a few minutes and I usually have to go back in to pull the cow tail a few more times before he drifts off to sleep.

It's been nearly 20 minutes since I snapped the photo above and Monsieur Henri is still napping. Methinks he likes his crib. Woohoo!

UPDATE: Henry's nap in the crib lasted nearly two and a half hours. The next step will be to place him in there during the night to see how he does.

Yay! Let's hear it for babes in the Crib! Erin has slept in her crib the last two nights for the first part of the night. I move her just because she kicks off all the blanket and is really cold by 1:30 am. Keep your fingers crossed for tonight when I'll try to keep her there till 4 (second feeding).
Yipee!

That's always great news! Should make for an easier transition later...

Oh - and ms. a - we use sleep sacks for our little one. They're great and we love them. It's a nice little blanket sack that covers their torso and legs and stays on them. It zips down (so the zipper is near their feet, not their face - and that makes for easy diaper changes in the dark) and keeps my little guy nice and warm through the night. Before I found the sleep sacks I used to put socks on my older sons feet under his sleepers to keep him warm.

what a sweet picture! I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the crib. What a delightful thing, a 2 1/2 hour nap! Good luck at night-time!
