Had to pull the lil' guy away from da boob long enough to snap the first photo of the new year. Henry will undoubtedly think his parents are the oldest people on the planet when he learns we were born in the 1970s. He'll have to endure the many tales of us walking to and fro school, uphill both ways, in knee-deep snow because, well, you know, they didn't have automobiles and such in the days of yore.
Resolutions? Don't really have any but I'll post some later today. Thinking of starting the new year dairy free as Monsieur Henri has been gracing us with copious amounts of baby spit up as of late. Regurgitated breast milk is gross.
Many thanks to Noodle's folks for having us over. We got to try oliebollen (translation: oil balls) that Sara made from scratch. A traditional Dutch New Year's treat - YUM! Our appetites were more than satisfied after gorging on these things but that didn't stop us from also consuming large quantities of fondue, crackers, salami, and stew. (Mmmm...stew...my favorite.) Now, we're off to try and get some sleep. I'm guessing the wee one will be up until around 2 A.M. before he drifts off to sleep. This sucks, but since he has been hitting the six to seven hours of sleep at night once he falls asleep, it's hard to complain.
Happy New Year!

Dairy free isn't that bad. =) I'm still with no dairy and am thinking of staying that way even once I'm done breastfeeding. Yeah, we'll see if that works.
When Liam was going through all his eating issues and stomach pains we went to a chiropractor (for him). The chiropractor suggested that I take wheat out (this was of course the day after I decided to eliminate pretty much everything). But, anyway, I thought you'd like to know that wheat is another cause for trouble with the little ones, so you know, if taking diary out doesn't work you have more options.
Good luck! Rice milk rocks! =) Happy New Year!
