Good weather and movie making

Today felt like the kind of day that leads to other great days. Perfect weather, amenable baby, and hanging out with friends. Megan and Avery came over and we started a movie project that will require a couple of days to complete. I will post it when it is done. And when the work was over we strolled up to Staccato Gelato, a new shop in our neighborhood, for some very tasty cool treats. And then, um, we strolled over to Piece of Cake for cake. So, yeah, the strolling around was very labor intensive and the only way to persevere was to pump our bodies full of sugar and chocolate. Mmmm...

In other news, it is 9:37P.M. as I type this and Monsieur Henry is sleeping in his crib. In his crib, people.

Chillin in da crib!!
Ice cream without cake is like peanutbutter without jelly. Like Sonny without Cher. Like lightning without thunder. It would disrupt the delicate balance of Nature. Now ice cream cake.....

Wow -- talk about the power of suggestion of the visual cortex... there I was, thinking "who in their right mind makes gelato with little hats on in colored tubs?"

After 15 seconds of staring, I realize it's a shot taken from the upper story looking downward.

My palm now meets my forheed with a meaty thwack.

Forget about all the gelato talk (as much as I love gelato and all).... HOW LONG DID HE SLEEP IN HIS CRIB??? I'm seriously impressed that you haven't kicked him out of your bed yet... I guess I'm just not a good bed-sharer! The kids always just drove me nuts. :)

Oh btw (back to the gelato),the owners of Staccato Gelato are parents at A & C's school. I didn't realize they had opened a new location.

(thought to myself: Why do I always write more than everyone else???)

For around four hours and then when he woke up again, we brought him into bed with us. Mainly because I'm lazy about feeding him in the middle of the night and neither Darr nor I mind him being there. We were able to reproduce the results this evening. Bath, nurse, place in crib, wake four hours later to nurse again - only this time we put him back in his crib. If all goes smoothly, he should sleep there until morning. Perhaps early morning, but morning nonetheless.

On the gelato front, Henry and I are totally up for meeting at either location or possibly doing a taste test of the various gelato options around town if you and Miss Josie are. :)

A gelato taste probably is called for. I think we owe it to our community to make sure the products being served are up to par. How does your calendar look? Any movie shoots to work around this week? :)

The real question is how to leverage the gelato connection touted by Amber to everyones advantage.

Congrats on the crib! Erin regressed from all-night-in-the-crib to where Mr. Henry is now. I'm lazy with the night nursing as well. It's so much easier.

Yes, I will have to work on that connection. I know they have a kid in one of my kid's classes but I can't remember which. I used to be able to remember things like that.
