Dang.

Henry's neutrophil count has dropped.

Henry's weight has dropped.

We've got another two appointments with different doctors at DCH - a gastroenterologist and another hematologist.

One word: McDonald's.

30 days and he'll have a gut. Never underestimate the power of french fries!

Seriously, I hope he gets better soon.

You and me both.

It's not that he doesn't like food and isn't interested in eating but rather that he won't actually eat the food or won't eat more than a few bites of the food. Argh.

crap. so frustrating and frightening. I will continue to think good thoughts for a manageable diagnosis and good prognosis.

hey, speaking of food, how is your family food supply holding up? B&A report that y'all are good cooks, but please let us know if we can bring something yummy by for you to stash in the freezer and reheat on busy nights. sheesh. y'all have a lot to deal with right now.
I don't have your email, but mine is caroline.bowles@gmail.com--let me know if we can help.

I'm so sorry things aren't going in the opposite direction. I'm sure the nutritionist was full of helpful advice like "put butter on everything". Not so helpful when your kid doesn't have an appetite! We served our little girl a cocktail of equal parts whole milk, unflavored peptamen jr and a dash of heavy cream. It was grey and thick but she drank it! Unflavored peptamen jr is hard to find in stores but here is a link in case you want to try it: http://www.mddirectonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=77_69&products_id=203
