Organic Spam

Darr found the juxtaposition between the attempt at healthy (organic Kraft Mac n' Cheese) and the absurdly unhealthy (Spam) quite amusing. I've already admitted my secret, but while at the store it occurred to me that Monsieur Henry seems to have a predilection for foods that are "bad" for you. What is worse for you than Spam? I snagged some and will fry it up this weekend to see if we can get the little booger to eat it and possible add a little fat to his svelte frame. (I swear this kid is growing taller everyday.)

If you're feeling adventurous, you can make some spam sushi also!

Mmmmm spam. Y'know you can order an entire "spam party" kit. So delicious.

I saw this recipe online -- I think it definitely comes under the "craptastic" category: http://www.recipesource.com/main-dishes/meat/pork/spam/00/rec0004.html

Organic Kraft Crap is my favorite new item at the grocery store. It makes me feel like less of a horrible mother when I buy that for my kids. The noodles are slightly more brown wheaty-looking, the cheesish powder isn't quite as toxic nuclear orange and the recipe calls for less butter. So that makes it somewhat on the verge of almost healthy. Right?

And coincidentally (as ms. a was just talking about), it also costs twice as much as the original kind. Hmmm.
