This was the first shot. I think we lucked out because it quickly went downhill from there. Henry seemed to be confused sitting on Santa's lap and having strangers wave sleigh bells in front of his face trying to get him to smile.
Thank you! One says "Merry" and the other "Christmas" so they were too festive not to be included. (Also, they are leftovers from last year. The company that makes them doesn't make them for toddlers.)
The secret to the smile was threefold. 1) Ian hasn't met a stranger yet. 2) It was naptime and by the time we reached Santa, he was so tired he would have gladly taken a nap right there on Santa's lap. (In the first 2 pics he has 3 chins from lazily leaning back.) 3) Jiggling a toy by the camera, then zooming it toward him and snatching it away before he could grab it. Makes him giggle every time.

Arg. Henry, will you please have a chat with Josie and let her know how cool Santa is? I don't want to look back and have a missing photo from 2008.

Adorable! Great pic. Now it's time for a cousins Santa visit!
Nice color coordination in sock-land.

Are you planning on doing mis-matched socks every year? =)
Santa looks good! I'll have to scan our picture and get it up!
Hope he asked for something really, really good.
Hey, that looks familiar...

I love the socks & the hat. They add the perfect festive touch. Not to mention necessary since it was flippin cold waiting in line!
