Gathering dust

I had a surplus of energy today and came up with a project - spring cleaning. I figure it'll last about four to six weeks since I can only do the deep cleaning I have in mind when Henry is not underfoot. I started with the little tot's room, taking everything out, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, and organizing before putting everything back. There is a box that sits on the top shelf that I've been using to store the toys Bean has outgrown and I was hit this morning, when I lifted the box from it's place and noticed the gathering dust, how much he has grown, how old he already is, and how fast this is all happening. He'll be three this year. Three. In another fifteen he'll be a registered Democrat voting for whatever left-wing liberal/progressive candidate his mama supports. But I digress. The point is, I'm going to clean this dang condo up one side and down the other, and with any luck I'll be finished by the time next spring rolls around. Of course, there were pictures...

we are on the same wavelength!!!! same here. I've done the kitchen, hallway, dining room, living room (sorta) and bathroom (pretty much, as long as you don't count organizing cabinets). this has been over the past month. you should check out "Home Comforts" by Cheryl Mendelsohn. she's insane, but thorough. totally awakened the hausfrau within for me.

Does your snazzy new camera have a manual mode? Those pictures are most excellent. You're just a natural. :)

Zozo - Thanks for the recommendation. I should get the book in a few days. I want the hausfrau in me to wake up!

Amber - It does but I haven't quite figured out how to use it, other than switching it to manual mode and shooting with whatever the default manual settings are. :)

Well, whatever you're doing, it's working. I always thought our point-and-shoot was good, but none of the pictures were ever that crisp.

Erm, you're telling me you'll keep the sprog away from the Fair & Balanced set?

Zan-en desu ne! (too bad!)

You might be raising the next Limbaugh (no, I'm not trying to create a Palin loaf-o'-bread moment for Huck, see:

Man... I/U need more political postings.
