Miss Josie turns three!

Monsieur Henry and I spent the late afternoon celebrating Miss Josie's third birthday with a gaggle of other kids and parents. With pizza and cake AND a trampoline, you cannot go wrong. Plus, there were balloons and cars the kids could motor around in. And crash. Turns out toddlers ain't so good at driving. I suppose that skill is mastered sometime after they turn five. Of course there were pictures*...

*As Amber posted here, the light was tricky in this place, and I, too, had to do some heavy editing before I could get close to versions of the pics I was happy with. I know light is important but I usually don't think about it until I'm in a situation that 1. has bad/weird/insufficient lighting or B) has awesome lighting. The difference for me between the two is how much time I have to spend editing. With good lighting, I might make some adjustments to the contrast and sharpness. With bad lighting, I'm changing everything from the tint and saturation to the shadows and exposure. The ceiling was so high I'm doubtful any reasonably priced flash would have done any good, unless you were bouncing the light off a wall near the shot. Hmmmm...
