This morning we met our friends at the park for a 1000th day celebration. Henry was sporting a custom "I am 1K" shirt that I made after finding inspiration from
this lady. Hen and I were able to toddle to the park with everything we needed for the party using our multi-purpose Bugaboo. (And Darr thought that thing was such a waste of money. I sure showed him, eh?) We arrived early enough to secure the best picnic table at the playground. And then his friends* showed up and it was a whirlwind of energetic activity. Kids ran all over the playground, went down the slides, threw the frisbee, ate, chased balloons, rode bikes, and drank lots of milk. We even managed to get them all sitting together for a group photo. The menu included Hen's favorites - peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, olives, fruits, string cheese, cured meats, cucumbers (and other veggies), and, of course, CAKE, which H thought was decorated with a dinosaur and a robot (really, it was a dragon and a knight). Of course there were pictures...

*Many thanks to all those who attended. You made Hen's 1000th day party the most special 1000th day party ever celebrated.

Great party, Christie. I can't believe all the toddlers looked at the camera for the group shot! Thanks for the invite.
