Cork, ya'll!

Ellie made herself right at home while I shot this pic to show the difference in colors between the existing hardwood and the new cork.

Thanks to the wall of windows the darker flooring didn't make the room feel smaller.

Next up, put the transitions in place, paint the walls, install the base trim, and buy new furniture. 

I like the reddish color of the cork. Those pics may have to come down because I think that's where we're going to put our new t.v.

Rug Bug Floor Coverings is the place we bought our cork at. They were super easy to work with. There was one little miscommunication that we have to work out - mainly what transitions to use between the hardwood and cork and at the other end of the room between the cork and the metal base of the sliding glass doors - but other than that, they were responsive to my concerns, they were efficient, and they were reasonably priced.
