Book nine: Imperfect Birds by Anne Lamott

Rosie does drugs. A lot. And lies about it. A lot. To her parents.

If this is at all like what is to come, boy are we in trouble.

9 down, plus 43 and volume 1 of the Norton Anthology of English Literature to go.

I love Anne Lamott's essays and non fiction, but her fiction does not blow me away at all.

I recognized Lamott's name but I haven't read anything of hers before (that I can recall). The book was okay. I finished it fairly quickly and the story was somewhat interesting. Using my book rating system from 2006, I'd say this one falls somewhere between 3 and 4, leaning more towards 4. The subject matter is what lends it some sense of authenticity.
