Book quote #7682

"On the bus to St. Louis, a man with a ukulele stood in the aisle and offered to play requests. Someone shouted out, "Freebird," and the man sat back down, visibly angered."
Hilarious. 'Cuz can't you just exactly picture how this would look and hear the sound of the heckler shout out "Freebird." And how excellent is that choice of song? For me, everything about this sentence works and is comically awesome. I'm not close to being done with this book yet but am absolutely loving The Family Fang by Kevin Wilson.

Like like like.

Are you reading mostly printed books or on your iPad these days?

Printed from the library. I loathe paying full price for a virtual copy of a book that I still cannot share as much as I'd like with as many people as I'd like. I typically only buy books for the iPad for traveling.

Our library has e-books now. not sure how it works (yet) but it's a fantastic idea!

Our library has 'em, too, but they used to only be able to lend to folks with the Sony Reader. I just checked, though, and they now are available for a whole bunch of devices including the iPad so I may start reading more that way, particularly for the titles that have super long wait lists.
