I did not have high hopes for our overnight camping adventure when Hen and I set out because it seemed as if the weather was going to get really bad before getting slightly better. Thankfully, despite the nearly windshield-shattering downpour we went through just south of Wilsonville, the storm's force lessened significantly by the time we reached the campground. We put the tent up in a light drizzle and by late afternoon the sun was out. We hiked around the area, played bubble games, enjoyed a game of Go Fish (at least until Hen thought he was going to lose and refused to play anymore), went into town to visit friends and pick up dinner, watched Toy Story on the Lola the iPad, and read books before bedtime. We woke up and there was more of the same - a morning hike, bubble play, an outdoor art project (I knew we'd be able to use those sparkly pipe cleaners!), and yoga. I taught Hen how to salute the sun and the tree pose and he shared his favorite yoga pose with me, the sleeping bug. All is all, this was a fabulous way to kick off the summer camping season.

Henry has the best mama a boy could want! I'm seriously impressed.
Looks like a great trip!
