We're slamming through these! So far, the books have all ended with something nearly requiring us to continue immediately. And so we do. I have a feeling this will be a series that keeps us busy for the next day or two. And then we'll be on to something new.
The Spiderwick Chronicles are certainly plot driven. They are fast. There are few details to get bogged down in. But it is precisely those details that I find myself missing in these books. I want to know more about these characters. Recognizing that these are written for young audiences, they are great, but they can never be my favorites and that's okay.
