I do not remember reading this growing up but some parts are so familiar I can't believe I didn't read it. Well, that and the fact that I read pretty much everything in the library after I broke my back in the fifth grade.
This book is such a treat that I've decided to read it to Henry once we're done with the Harry Potter series. He's going to love the antics of Anne. And he'll appreciate Marilla's no-nonsense attitude. I bet he even notices that most of the times Matthew speaks he starts with a "well, now..." preface.
