Book fifty-four: The Graham Cracker Plot by Shelley Tougas

Nothing could possibly go wrong when two kids and a teenager with a brain injury get together to break the Chemist out of prison, right?

Wrong! Everything goes wrong, which is why I am quite heartily proclaiming that you should really think twice about any of your own prison-break plans.

A quirky story told about two mismatched friends who hatch a plan to get one of their fathers out of the slammer.

This book isn't even close to my top ten list of favorite kid books this year but it was an interesting concept, and heartwarming and sad at the same time. It reminds us how much words matter and how it is best to know the truth even if that truth is painful.

54 down and still going strong!
