Kid-Raising Milestone #2,847,473,634

If you're thinking I am overselling the amount of milestones parents experience whilst raising a child, you'd be wrong.  There have been quite a few over the years but for some reason this one feels BIG.

The kid has earned his first official paycheck!

He completed 4.5 hours of online courses and a three-hour in-person training session and is now a U.S. Soccer trained Grassroots Referee.  He worked as a sideline ref at two matches the week before spring break and is currently scheduled to work four more matches in the coming weeks.  There is a big platform change taking place in two days and that has made scheduling somewhat chaotic but I expect he'll be able to pick up a few more matches before the spring season ends.  Of course, I'd like him to save every penny but when last asked Hen said something about buying candy before heading into his bedroom to play video games.

Squeaky clean reading

Brought to you by the makers of Oy Vey Moments:

"For all the hubbub, Jared and Kirsten Maughan, the couple who founded Clean Reader, say the app began innocuously enough. Their daughter had returned from school one day upset with the language in a book she was reading for class."

The nosy neighbor in me wants to know the book this girl was reading and the language that she found objectionable.

I think this app is horrible. Squeaky clean reading. Oy vey.

Hairclips! HAIRCLIPS!

My boss makes the cutest frickin' hairclips I have ever seen. If I had my own daughter, this would be a serious problem. But I don't so it's not. However, I do have nieces and friends with daughters so I still get to take some of her seriously adorable merchandise and share it with loved ones.
This is Cloudy. There's a Sundrop, too, but we live in Oregon so...

Tux is a favorite. So cute, so penguiny.

Whaddup, Panda! You da panda!
