To those who haven't had their property seized for the construction of a temporary bridge that will come within four feet of their residence while the old bridge is torn down and rebuilt, the work is noisy, basically non-stop - with few restrictions on noise levels at night - and goes seven days a week. This means at 8a.m. on the dot the very large and rumbling construction vehicles were moving and being loud. At 8a.m. On a Saturday.
The City of Portland should send us a very large apology card when this is all over.

They should send it to you now, with a mega-pack of earplugs attached. It's the very least. It'd cost, what, $300 for everyone? Sheesh!
