I can't remember why I picked this book up. I don't dislike horses but I don't tend to gravitate toward books about them, either. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A young woman decides to be a broncobuster in the early 1900s when the menfolk leave for war. She wears pants, whispers to horses, and finds her way to love. Which seems like sentimental poo but her character is endearing. She is quirky and confident and dedicated and steadfast. This is a great summer read.
24 down plus 28 to go.
