You know how sometimes you hit the library and you come home with way more books than you actually expect to be able to read and some were lifted off the shelf because the two-second cursory glance you gave it seemed like it would be a good enough read. That was this kind of selection. I don't know the author, the subject matter, well, seems more fitting for someone older, but it was a fantastic read. Ed is widowed and finds himself in the unique position of being an available man to loads of women looking for companionship later on in life. He begins dating, reunites with an old flame that burned him once before, is set up by his friends and forced into online dating by his children. There are missteps and broken hearts and bittersweet sadness and longing for what could have been. But there is also a message of hope that is inspiring.
