I have time. Alone time. Lots of alone time. All by myself. Which could very likely make me go crazy*. So I'm trying to think of a way to divide my time each day so that I can do household chores and such, work on projects (small ones like sewing owls for Hen's b-day party, big ones like painting the master bathroom), exercise, cook and bake, and enjoy a good book or movie or work on my photography.
This morning, I came home and immediately edited a pic of Hen on his first day (see pic on right) to post. Hen was not terribly enthused about leaving his mama to go to school. And I'm sadder than I thought I'd be that my little sidekick for the last five plus years has learning to do that'll keep him away from me for nearly eight hours a day (excepting Fridays when there is an earlier pick up time).
Hen's first school morning started when I woke him up by helping him get dressed, tickling was involved. We washed his hair real quick. He ate cheese sticks and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Then brushed his teeth and we headed out the door. Pictures were taken. It only took about fifteen minutes to get to school, this was a surprise given the bridge construction that tends to stop traffic. Hen was grumbling about not wanting to go until we got there and I pointed out the crossing guard. You've never seen a kid so excited about using the crosswalk. We made our way to the classroom and then he started to get a little shy, although he worked up the courage to put his lunch bag in the cubby without me as escort. We went over and said hello to Wicked the chinchilla before his teacher pointed to the tables with a couple of activities set out. He chose to draw a picture of Harry Potter with bubbles. I said goodbye and then chose a moment when he was particularly focused to duck out of the room.
Then I came home, stopping at the store for groceries for dinner tonight, and have done the following so far:
laundry
stripped the beds, changed sheets, and made the beds
took down the recycling
cleaned the spare bathroom
blogged
edited photos and uploaded to Flickr
I hope to finish the following:
yoga
wash the dishes
clean the master bath
go for a walk
clear a spot for the stereo equipment by the t.v. and bring it out (for Darren to put together)
cover wand boxes (HP b-day project #328)
I saw this idea on Young House Love. I wish I could be as awesome house-wise as they are. I may have to do something like this. But first we have to get the t.v. mounted on the wall. And I need to buy a rug. And move the desk to the living room, well, after I sand and paint the desk. So many things to do, so little understanding of how to do them well.
*Ha. Crazier than I already am, tyvm.

Seems so foreign to have so much time. What will you do the next day? Hope he had a good day at school. Great vest!
I was only able to go for a walk and wash the dishes but I also swept and mopped the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway floors, and cleaned the litter box.
