Crafts: Another scarf and hat

I've given up hope that I'll finish Hen's sweater in time for Christmas so I completed another scarf and tried out a new hat pattern using scrap yarn. For the hat I only had a tiny amount of super bulky yarn so I started with that and then used regular worsted and DK weight yarns tripled up for the other colors. Also, I knit it on regular needles, rather than DPNs or circulars, so I have a seam in the back but still, I'm happy with the result and it only took about an hour and a half to knit. So, yeah, I'll be making another one of these for a kid I know for Christmas with no fear of not getting it done in time. Can I get a "hooray!" for fast and easy knitting projects?
