Facts:
  1. Obama was not a member of the Senate at the time the vote to go to war was cast.
  2. Obama gave a speech against the war approximately two weeks after congress voted in October 2002.
  3. Obama did not have an opportunity to vote.
  4. Hillary did vote for the war in Iraq.
  5. Hillary states that President Bush misused her support and botched the war.
  6. Hillary also states "I want to be very clear about this: If I had been president in October 2002, I would not have started this war."

true ... but still - all these people voted for the war. What were they thinking !?! It was so obvious that the administration was interpreting facts and images to support their agenda... And the entire connection between Iraq and the War on Terror was entirely ridiculous. I wish that I had saved the news headlines titles - the operation in Iraq was named so many different things in a matter of just a few months. In addition to over 3100 US military personnel, 55-60 thousand civilians were also killed, lives of entire generations have been ruined forever, and the country is torn apart by a civil war.
If Ms. Clinton really wants to run for the president seat, she should own up to her vote, and officially apologize - admit she has made a mistake.

I don't know why Hillary voted for the war but to backtrack now and call it a "mistake" to appease would-be voters would surely be seen as flip-flopping, a charge that seems to have heavily damaged Democrats in the last two presidential elections.

Plus, Hillary made her vote on information that was false and misleading. We know this now.

Obama may claim he never would have voted for the war, and he might not have, but we will never know as he wasn't in a position to do so.
