I'm only about fifteen minutes into this movie and it is so engaging and fun I am over here praying that Henry stays asleep long enough for me to finish it. And I don't pray, people. That's how good this movie is.
I just watched that two nights ago while my baby slept! I love movies where you can learn a little too. I have never been a big Tom Hanks fan, but this movie might've converted me.
Keep up the good work on your blog! I enjoy reading it! :)
Brian, I'm a multi-tasker. At the time I was also carrying on a conversation with my brother, folding clothes, and perusing a parenting magazine.
Mary Jo, Thanks! And right back at ya! :)
Svetla, When are you guys moving? And how have you been? We have a Christmas gift for you that has been sitting on our counter since well before Christmas. One of these days I'll get it mailed to you.
Elizabeth, What'd you think of the movie? Good, right?
It was a fantastic movie. I enjoyed it thoroughly and as a bonus it helped me put into context the war we are in with Afghanistan right now and how that came about.
Another thing, I watched the bonus features, "Who is Charlie Wilson?" (VERY interesting!) They interviewed the present day Joanne Herring. You know when you play that game, "If I had a movie made about me I want Julia Roberts to play me?" because she is so much more beautiful than anyone else? In this case Joanne Herring is MORE beautiful than Julia Roberts, and that is the present day Joanne! I can't imagine how beatiful whe was 25 years ago!!!!!
An amazing woman. From what I read the movie was pretty faithful to the events.

But not so engaging that you aren't blogging. :D
I just want to see it to see what Philip Seymour Hoffman looks like with an enormous moustache.
