I hope it doesn't sound dumb or condescending, but I'm truly sorry that your love for the Clintons and your desire for the first female president weren't (assuming things go as planned in the next few days) met.
Me, I'm happy that Washington's about to have a Tsunami moment -- cleansing the lobbyist field and starting afresh (I note that Obama fought to keep Dean and forced the DNC to eschew lobbyist/PAC monies).
I pray there's some ember of revisionist desire I can fan in you. Barring that, there's always Darr, who will comfort you as you make the right, yet painful, choices ahead.
Me, I'm hoisting a martini not to politics, but to a good Markman ruling and its effect on some patent opinions for which I'm primarily responsible. If you didn't catch it before, I'm a friend of Bulleit; maybe your Darr can fetch you some... Betty likes it (or Knob Creek).
Life goes on, counselor-to-be. Your dream will come true in your lifetime and I hope I'm in the right place at the right time to help you push that event to the finish line.
I don't consider voting for Obama painful but rather falling in line with the very people who helped destroy my preferred candidate's run for the White House. Obama will do splendidly, I'm sure. How could he not after the last eight years of disaster?
I can't imagine the crushing defeat someone feels when something she has worked for her ENTIRE life is snatched away from her. She had to watch while two very capable men ran and lost to some dimwit, ideological nightmare. And she did so biding her time. My hats off to her for trying.

I'm not sure if "biding her time" was right -- I think her handlers convinced her to strike while the iron was hot... not prepare for the long haul.
Indeed.. hats off to the Clinton clan. Would that she had dumped the lout after he ran over the family dog (Buddy).
[N.B.: If one forgives the blue dress, I still can't forgive Buddy's ignominious demise -- NOTE: That's Bill I'm winging about, not the Senator]
