Admitted

Henry's last white cell blood count was down to 420* so at about five o'clock this evening Henry was admitted to the hospital and we were moved to the oncology floor at Doernbecher. As I type this Henry is sleeping after having just received another dose of what the doctor referred to as "giant antibiotics." We have not yet heard any results from the cultures that were done yesterday morning shortly after we arrived at the hospital, and we probably won't know anything about those until sometime mid-afternoon tomorrow. As Darr mentioned previously, we're in limbo, waiting. For now, we appreciate all of the caring and supportive comments and e-mails we've received. As does Monsieur Henry who we hope is on the mend.

*Go ahead, bring on the jokes about pot. You know you want to.

Oh Christie, I cannot even imagine. Are you both staying there in the hospital with him? I do hope that you and Darren are, oh I can't even think of a word, finding the strength?

And - I can't think of a pot joke - I must be totally out of it!

At least you still have a sense of humor! heh

Poor Msr. Henry!! Poor Darren & Christie! This is the suck.

When LM was Henry's age, he actually did better getting his blood drawn sitting up like an adult. He just watched the blood come out of him, no tears or anything.
Being forcibly held down is NO FUN.

Big hugs and kisses to you all.

Christy we are thinking of Msr. Henry and sending positive vibes. You sound good and I hope you are. I loved the newest "adventures" post and can't wait to see what Henry is up to next. He is SO HANDSOME.

Stay strong and be sure to let us know when you need more strength in words and gestures.

As far as 4:20 goes, I'm sure I have no idea what you are talking about. Ooops I mean 420.

I am so sorry and am sending as many positive, healing thoughts your way. I will count on Brian and Ashleigh to keep us in the loop and posted on what we can do. I am home all day and happy to help in any way possible re: errands, casseroles, whatever.

okay, representatives from all of Christendom have Henry in their prayers, except maybe Orthodox denominations. I totally understand if that's not your bag, but I figure it can't hurt? anyway, a lot of people are pulling for Henry and his family.
