I absolutely stand behind that. I firmly believe in a woman's right to choose.
Then I read further and come upon this:
"With the release of the new platform, and so long as the Obama campaign doesn't cast the platform into purgatory and pick an anti-abortion candidate—like Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine—for vice president..."I'm totally writing in Hillary's name on the ballot if that jack off [read: Obama] picks an anti-abortion a-hole for his running mate.

From the Associated Press - In an interview with megachurch minister Rick Warren [I'm annoyed this guy gets to have access to the candidates] Obama "restated his support for legalized abortion," and said he "would limit abortions in the late stages of pregnancy if there are exceptions for the mother's health".
Phew.

I am just going to remain confident that he wouldn't dare pick an anti-choice running mate (I've never personally heard Obama make any mention of wanting to do away with legalized choice) and see what transpires.
But more importantly, what's the deal with this Rick Warren guy? I watched the first 5 minutes of his "interview" last night before I crashed but the whole thing gives me the willie-nillies. The whole blurring of church and state lines freaks me out. And the fact that people are identifying themselves as "Christian" as their political affiliation freaks me out even more. Scary times.
