Book twenty-seven: Mennonite in a Little Black Dress by Rhoda Janzen
The reading continues, thanks in part to Penny for lending me this book for the flight home. The little monster, I mean, Henry, sees the iPad and then is no longer satisfied with the miniscule iPod, so the book I got for the iPad to read on the flights had to wait to be read until Hen wasn't around. Anyway, this was an interesting book, if not a little overdone for my tastes. The self-deprecating stance became after awhile a little bit too close to a pity party, and those are only fun if you're the pitiful one and alcohol is involved. That said, it is an easy read and worthy of your time if you've ever been intrigued by those borscht-eating Mennonite folk. 26 down, plus 1.

aw, I loved this book! I could see her style being a bit cloying, I guess. definitely an easy read--good for the plane if you're lucky enough to be able to read while flying with a toddler.
