A little pond water never hurt

Henry and I met up with Amber and Caroline and Anneke this morning at Bishop's Close to play with our cameras. It was very green. When Hen's near and I've got the camera in hand, I have a hard time not focusing the lens on him, call it habit, but the idea is that we'll occasionally meet and take pictures and hopefully over time take better pictures. I'm working with the old D40X, Amber has the D60X, and Caroline is working with the badass of the group, the Canon 5D. Last November, Amber and I took a class at Newspace Center for Photography (and have current plans to take another on photo editing) and Caroline has taken a class at PCC so we're all armed with nuggets of photography knowledge. We've started a Flickr group - Women Taking Pictures - and will be uploading our pictures there. Bishop's Close is a great location for shooting. But don't picnic there, the Bishop doesn't permit it. The trails are a bit treacherous so we had to be careful with the wee ones. I, unfortunately, was not careful enough because seconds after getting the blanket "be careful or you might fall in" warning, Hen fell in.

I love the three perspectives of the story and the three photos. They should go up on the Flickr site.

Darren, you shoulda seen it! It was a HUGE pond. At least 3 inches deep! As Caroline said at the time... "it's not ha-ha funny, but it is pretty funny."
