Cinema seating
At movie theatres I prefer to sit in the middle of the front row of the back section. Most theatres I go to are split into two sections. Last weekend, I caught Eat, Pray, Love. As far as movies go, it was okay. I wasn't a huge fan of the book and only went to see the movie because Julia Roberts was in it. Anyway, I arrived at the theatre slightly ahead of my friend and went in to save us some seats. We were under the impression that the theatre would be packed. It wasn't, but there were three people already seated in the front row with their feet up, two toward the aisle on one side and one lady smack dab in the middle. So I approach that lady and ask if she is saving any of the seats that are open around her. She pauses and then says she is saving three. Since there are seven open seats between her and the other couple and another eight or so seats open on the either side of her, I go and select a seat that gives her the flexibility to have her friends sit on her right or left. Apparently this pisses her off because when her one friend - not counting her invisible third friend - shows up, she turns to me and says in the most bitchy tone ever, "What? You have a problem with the seating?" Um. No. But apparently you do.
