Darr does the majority of the bed time work because Henry just laughs at me, and then asks for a hug. And when he pulls out the hug requests, I'm worthless as a parent. So, tonight, just moments ago, Darr was outside Hen's room because it was the last, definitive lights out time and he needed to get into the room so he could turn off the light and place Henry in his bed.
<insert knocking on door sound here>
Darr: Hen? Can you open the door?
<indistinct muffling sounds from Henry>
Darr: Hen? 'Cuz I'm going to come in.
Hen, still muffled: "It's my room."
Darr: I know it's your room. But it's my house."
<insert pause here>
Darr: I'm turning into my father.
