Book Five: The Lonely Polygamist by Brady Udall

What with Netflix sending me the latest Big Love season on dvd and this book I'm in polygamy overload. Whatever your stance on polygamy, this is a great read. Extremely entertaining and well-written, if not a little weird, which really isn't all that surprising given its subject matter. I'm FAR behind on my reading for the year. I'm hoping to make some progress in the Mexico! in less than two weeks time. Woot!

5 down, plus 47 and volume 1 of the Norton Anthology of English Literature to go.

yep, really enjoyed this book--just the kind of read I'm up for these days. I'm having fun reading the latest in the Tales of the City series. perfect beach reading. also recommend Bangkok 8 as a great beach read.

The book started out great...interesting, at times funny. But then about halfway through, it started to bog down a bit, gratuidous, and repetitive. Some subjects were just discussed over and over, and it got me thinking that the author was curious of a different lifestyle, and polygamy is not one of them.
