Book six: The Passage by Justin Cronin

It took my entire vacation (minus the time I spent napping, drinking, photographing the sights, and gabbing with my friends) to finish this 766 page book. I'm very much looking forward to the next one. My one complaint, which has nothing to do with the actual writing as I thoroughly enjoyed the book, is that certain sections (mainly author-noted excerpts) were in italics. What a strain on the old eyes. Vampire stories are always awesome. Man-created vampire stories that bring about war and nearly extinguish life on earth are even more so.
