The end is nigh...or not!

When Brother Nick mentioned the day of the possible beginning of the end I responded with, "I thought that was in 2012." And it is, if you're Mayan. But it's this year if you're someone who follows Harold Camping. I'm not but I can't let an opportunity to celebrate go to waste. So I got busy making food and inviting folks over to welcome the end. I spent the entire day in the kitchen. The menu - fried chicken (using Brother Nick's recipe), brown rice with parmesan, lemon, and basil, Cobb salad, fruit salad, applesauce, no-knead bread, homemade butter, beef and lamb sausage rolls, and lime and orange sherbert. We ate. We read rapture tips. We watched the kids play. And we ate some more. Many thanks to the Wagners and Smiths (with two of the currently four, soon-to-be five Gorsegnors) for joining us.
