Accountability

Perhaps it is unfair of me to find glee from the recent incarceration of Ms. Hilton but I'm going to anyway. Hopefully she learns the lesson that you have to a) read what you sign and 2. follow the laws of this country or deal with the consequences of your actions*. At least she turned herself in after getting all dolled up for the MTV Music Awards and won't have a bad mug shot posted on this site like these stars did:
And in other jail news, Lewis "Scooter" Libby got 30 months, 30 months!, for lying and obstructing justice in the C.I.A. leak investigation. Will the judge make him start serving his time right away? Let's hope so. His lawyers are filing an appeal and there is always the possibility that President Bush will pardon Libby.

*This means not blaming your publicist, manager, lawyer, the barista at the local Starbucks, makeup artist, hair stylist or anyone else for actions you did or did not do.

You might be interested in the Atlanta At Exhibit "Cold Busted: The Art of the Celebrity Photo" Cold Busted Art Exhibition is an artistic look at fame and infamy through celebrity mug shots. With a collection of artist whose style varies as much as the charges brought against the celebs they’ve painted, this event will showcase the glam and the drab side to the pop culture’s celebrity machine.

Each artist will chose a mug shot of a celebrity and artistically reinterpret it. The only guidelines are that it has to be someone who has been arrested and it must be in the form of a mug shot.
