The same thing just happened to me. Reading a salon article (on the rise of Obama) I saw: "The Democratic Party should have represented that half of the country that was appalled by Buddhism."
When the real sentence was: "The Democratic Party should have represented that half of the country that was appalled by Bushism."
I wondered why Democrats would be appalled by that round-bellied enlightened one.
