Basic knit scarf
Here we have Hen modeling the basic knit scarf I just finished for my aunt. It's a long scarf and Hen's a small dude so I had to wrap it around his neck a few times to get it all into the pic. He's a trooper for letting me put it on him to take a pic given that it is nearly 75 degrees in the condo right now. The scarf is the last item I had to make to fulfill my obligation to the folks who signed up for that homemade goods Facebook deal back in January. So I don't forget, I made a picnic blanket, 'Thank You' cards, and this scarf. I already have a few ideas for next year so I'm hoping it starts again after the new year. On a related note, I really need a knitting project that does not solely involve the basic knit stitch because, man, is that ever boring.

that is a huge scarf! It must have taken forever. I find my interest in a project is less about the stitches involved and more about the final product. I find scarves and socks to both be boring projects. I much prefer hats and sweaters -- even if they are just straight knit stitching.
I have done two of my three homemade items for 2011 -- I have one to go, which will be done later in the fall or winter!
Christie, you are a maniac. a very talented maniac.
Awesome scarf!
In order for it to start up next year, all you have to do is post to your status that it is so and it will be so! The beauty of FB.
