Not as good as the first one but I can still see its appeal. This is another one of those "I'd love it if I were a teenager" type books. Although the trend with all of these novels tends to be that the awkward, understated, semi-pretty, overlooked girl becomes aware of an inner strength she didn't know she had and rises to the occasion, often through unconventional means and with either one love interest or a love triangle. There is one book remaining in the series and I will absolutely read it. I heard the last one is better than the second one.
