Fifty Shades of Oy Vey

I am 80% done with this book and still plugging away. Like Megan, I find myself experiencing a high frequency of eye-rolling moments. A couple of things that are driving me batty include:

  • how Anastasia refers to her computer, nearly everytime, as the "mean machine" - as in "I switch on the mean machine..." and "...fire the mean machine" and "...incoming mail from the mean machine"
  • the many conversations Ana has with her subconscious
  • all the "holy cow", "holy crap", and "holy <insert word here>"

Holy Moses? There is, finally, a Jewish version that might appeal to you more than the original. Enjoy now, atone next year.

I just deleted a comment I thought was spam. Turns out it was from the author, E.L. Jamesbergstein, of a parody called, "Fifty Shades of Oy Vey". Hilarious. I will have to read this: http://www.amazon.com/Fifty-Shades-Oy-Vey-ebook/dp/B00EPKZJH0
