My laptop crapped out on me tonight and DH wasn't able to fix it. A trip to the Genius Bar at the Apple store is in order to see if the thing is borked.

But, hey, on the bright side I learned the word "borked" so all is not lost, only (rough estimate) about a month or two worth of photos. This does mean, if the geniuses can't get it up and running, that our daily photo run will have been interrupted.

But, hey, on the bright side, I might just kick off 2012 with a new computer, which I'll be able to use until, well, the end.
Apparently, I'm not the only one having computer problems.

Go early in the day. I was there yesterday about 11a and they were slammed.
Did you make an appointment through Concierge online before going? Did you have computer problems, too? (I hope not.) Darr's taking the car skiing today and most likely tomorrow, too, so the earliest I can get to the store, unless I want to take mass transit with a laptop and a young child, is Tuesday. I'm guessing crowds will be thinner then.
No, I didn't go to Genius bar specifically, just the apple store. I literally passed it by the first time because it was so mobbed. The second time, it was still as mobbed (as was the whole mall), so I took a deep breath and plunged in.
If you make an appt on Tuesday, I am sure you'll be fine!
